Addition and renovation to an existing church facility utilizing a hybrid structural steel and light-gauge steel framing system. The project incorporated long-span structural steel framing to support open worship and gathering spaces while integrating with the existing structure. Exterior wall framing consisted primarily of light-gauge steel studs supported by a concrete slab-on-grade foundation system. The design provided a durable and cost-effective structural solution while accommodating the architectural requirements of the expanded parish and community spaces. The project demonstrates effective coordination between structural engineering, architectural design, and phased construction within an active occupied campus environment.
